Who is Eligible to Play for St. Thorfinn Stormbreakers Baseball?
At St. Thorfinn Stormbreakers Baseball, we are committed to building a competitive program that reflects both the spirit of the game and the values of the Catholic faith. To do this, it’s important to clearly define who our program is for.
Homeschool and Independent Student-Athletes
Our roster is open primarily to:
This ensures that athletes who may not otherwise have the opportunity to compete at a high level can find a place to grow, develop, and lead on the field.
What St. Thorfinn Baseball Is Not
We are not a fallback program for players who have been cut from other high school teams or those who simply refuse to play for their school team. St. Thorfinn Baseball is a competitive, values-driven program. Every player who wears the Stormbreakers uniform is expected to contribute to building tradition, culture, and respect for the game.
Expectations for Our Players
Athletes who join our program must commit to:
-
Competing with grit, effort, and accountability.
-
Representing the values of faith, respect, discipline, and service on and off the field.
-
Attending practices, games, and team events consistently.
-
Embracing servant leadership within the program and the community.
Pathway for Development
The Stormbreakers are more than a seasonal team—we are a year-round developmental program. Our players participate in:
-
Fall: Exposure league and weekly practices.
-
Winter: Strength, agility, and skill development indoors.
-
Spring: In-season varsity schedule.
-
Summer: Weekly workouts to complement travel/showcase opportunities.
By committing to this pathway, athletes sharpen their skills while growing as leaders and young men grounded in Catholic values.
If you are a homeschool or independent student-athlete who believes in competing with faith, discipline, and heart—we invite you to explore the opportunity to become a Stormbreaker.
